Grilled Banana Split with "Hot" Caramel Sauce

Ingredients:
4   bananas
1 tbsp (15 mL)   melted butter
1 tbsp (15 mL)   Realemon* Lemon Juice
2 cups (500 mL) vanilla ice cream
1/4 cup (50 mL) butter
1 cup (250 mL) dark brown sugar
1/3 cup (75 mL) 35% whipping cream
1 tbsp (15 mL) Frank's RedHot Sauce
     

Directions:

1. Preheat grill to medium. Peel and slice bananas in half lengthwise. Mix butter with lemon juice and brush over bananas. Grill, with lid down, until warmed and lightly marked.

2. Combine butter, sugar and cream in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil and cook, without stirring, for 3 minutes or until thickened. Stir in hot sauce.


3. Arrange bananas in four dishes. Top with ice cream and sauce.

Makes 4 servings.
