I’m currently training to beat my personal best 10k time just before turning 40. In order to achieve my performance goal, everything needs to be dialed in: the training program, recovery, mindset, and nutrition. I also run my private practice as a fitness professional. I have a full schedule training, treating, and performance testing clients. EGGS 2go! hard-boiled eggs are a go to while I’m training. They’re easy on digestion, easy to pack, and they’re eggs, nature’s most bioavailable protein source.
Most days of the week I train twice per day, one run specific workout and the other is resistance training to maintain strength and muscle for my whole body.
It’s crucial that my protein sources are easy to digest and easy to pack. EGGS 2go! makes one of my all-time favourite protein sources (eggs), easier than ever while preparing my meals on the go. I use both the 6-pack of hard-boiled eggs to add to my dinners when I’m working evenings, and I keep a 2-pack in my mini fridge at work.
Eggs are the most bioavailable naturally occurring protein. They’re a perfect package of protein and predominantly heart healthy fat. The primary fat found in eggs is monounsaturated, followed by polyunsaturated omega 3, and a small portion of saturated fat (1.5-1.7g per egg). For someone like me who trains to perform and preaches longevity and health to my training clients, it’s important that my diet supports a long, healthy, and active life. By eating eggs, I’m able to tick multiple boxes for my daily nutrition needs:

- They contain monounsaturated fat and omega 3.
- They contain other important micronutrients such as choline, lutein and zeaxanthin (antioxidants), vitamins (A, D, E,, K, B12, riboflavin, folate, biotin), and minerals (such as phosphorus, calcium, and potassium) - all useful for supporting brain health, vision, and immunity.
