Ingredients

2/3 cup / 150 ml margarine
1/2 cup / 125 ml unsweetened applesauce
1/2 cup / 125 ml Sugar Twin Granulated White
1 cup / 250 g Naturegg Omega Plus cracked eggs, well shaken
1 tsp / 5 ml each vanilla and instant coffee granules
1 cup / 250 ml all-purpose flour
1 cup / 250 ml cocoa
1/4 tsp / 1 ml each salt and baking powder

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Cream margarine with applesauce and sweetener. Stir in eggs, vanilla and instant coffee until smooth.

  2. Blend flour with cocoa, salt and baking powder and stir into egg mixture. Spread batter in an 8-in (20-cm) baking pan lightly greased with margarine. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes or until edges of brownies begin to pull away from the sides of the pan but centre is still slightly gooey.
