|1/2 cup / 125 g||Naturegg Simply Egg Whites, well shaken|
|1/2 cup / 125 ml||2% milk|
|1/2 cup / 125 ml||plain, nonfat or 2% Greek yogurt|
|2 cup / 500 ml||baby spinach or kale|
|1 1/2 cup / 375 ml||frozen blueberries|
|1||very ripe banana, cut into chunks|
|1/2 cup / 125 ml||crushed ice|
|2 tsp / 10 ml||flaxseed oil|
|1 tsp / 5 ml||honey (optional to taste)|
Place the egg whites, milk, yogurt, spinach, blueberries, banana, ice and flax oil into a blender. Blend, stopping to stir as needed, for 2 minutes or until smooth and well combined. Serve immediately.
Add a flavor and health boost by adding 1/2 tsp (2 mL) ground cinnamon, which has been shown to have antibacterial and immune boosting properties.
Substitute agave syrup for the honey.
Substitute 2% milk for skim or almond, oat or soy beverage.
